TEE HEE HEE look what i found!

ok so as some of you may know my name is the name of a Brazilian Mythical creature/ my name means: lady of the water.
anyways.. in my bored state i decided to research my name.. this is what i found.

The Iara is a kind of mermaid. She is the beautiful queen of the water, who sings and lures men -- who go mad because of Iara's beauty -- to the waters where they die. Iara has beautiful long hair and uses a golden comb. When an Iara dies, her river dies with her.

Iara is the name of a water queen from Brazilian mythology. She would lure young men to water by singing to them. Once they fell under her spell, they chose to live in the water with her. This legend was used to explain the disappearance of hunters in the Amazon.
